Site Interpreter Joanne Stein-Kohler has studied the Jewish experience in America in the years leading up to and after the American Revolution, through the lens of Rebecca Franks, the “Jewish Belle” of Philadelphia who married General Sir Henry Johnson. He had been in the command of the British garrison at Stony Point but was forced to surrender the post in 1779 at the Battle of Stony Point. FREE event! CLICK HERE for details.
