The Week that Won the War: The Story of the Firing on the HMS Vulture

The Historical Society of Rockland County presents, “The Week that Won the War: The Story of the Firing on the HMS Vulture.”  Sunday, April 26, 2026. 1PM. Char Weigel of Revolutionary Westchester 250 will tell the true story of the week that the British ship HMS Vulture was in Haverstraw Bay and the cannonade that ended up stranding John André and forcing him to travel overland through Westchester. There he was captured, then returned to Rockland for trial and,  ultimately, execution as a spy. Tickets $5. Space is limited! Registration Required.
