August 29 @ 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm

Don’t miss “The New York Campaign of 1776: 250 Years Later.”  Saturday, August 29. 1:30-2:30PM at the Stony Point Battlefield State Historic Site.  Just weeks after the adoption of the Declaration of Independence, the British Army and Navy conquered the New York City area in a sweeping campaign with a handful of hair-raising battles, testing the Continental Army with the full might of the British military. Site Historian Mike Sheehan will present a lecture with maps and illustrations on this gripping and dangerous year of the American Revolution, when the cause was almost lost before it could really begin.  CLICK HERE for more information.
