Stravinsky Soldier’s Tale — BridgeMusik Summer Festival 2026 in Nyack

BridgeMusik presents, “Stravinsky’s Soldier’s Tale.” August 1-2, 2026. (Aug. 1: 7:30-9:00PM & Aug. 2: 3-4:30PM) at The Nyack Center.  BridgeMusik opens its 2026 Summer Festival We the Music – Celebrating 250 Years of American Voices, with a bold, fully staged production of Stravinsky’s The Soldier’s Tale, paired with a world premiere by Thomas Cabaniss.  Featuring music, theater and dance, The Soldier’s Tale tells the story of a soldier who trades his violin to the Devil in exchange for wealth, and explores timeless themes of temptation, fate, and the true cost of ambition.  The program also includes the world premiere of Dedication to Faust by Thomas Cabaniss, written especially for the festival as a contemporary counterpart to Stravinsky’s theatrical masterpiece.
