Rockland Repair Cafe
ROCKLAND REPAIR CAFE
Saturday, May 2nd | 10 AM to 2 PM
Street Community Center, 31 Zukor Road, New City, NY 10956
Bring your broken items and let our skilled volunteer Repair Coaches take a look. Whether it’s a lamp that won’t light up, a favorite piece of clothing, a small appliance, a wooden item, furniture, or a toy, we would love to help give it a second life. Repairs are always free of charge.
A Few Things to Know Beforehand
No registration needed. That said, we strongly encourage you to email us in advance with a description of your item and the issue.
Photos are welcome and very helpful. Reaching out ahead of time allows us to match you with the right Repair Coach and helps the day run smoothly for everyone.
There is no obligation to attend if you get in touch beforehand.
- Items we cannot accept include anything powered by a gas engine or microwave ovens. Any item that poses a clear safety concern will be turned away.
- No computer, printer, or digital device repair available.
- Repair sessions are limited to 20 minutes, as we typically see more visitors than available volunteers. There is a two item per person limit.
- Some items, such as sewing machines and standing mixers, are generally too involved to address within that window. Contact us with any questions.
- Repair Coaches and organizers reserve the right to decline any repair at their discretion.
This free community event is made possible through the Rockland Conservation & Service Corps, a program of the Rockland County Youth Bureau, in partnership with Rockland Green and the Town of Clarkstown.
Volunteers welcome! Volunteers of all ages can easily help with a range of support tasks. Fixers welcome to inquire too!
