John Andre’s trial and hanging to Sir Guy Carlton’s tribute to the new republic- Orangetown was were where history happened. The Bicentennial provided Americans with a way to honor the past and prepare for the future while taking a break form the Vietnam War Watergate scandal and cultural upheavals of the previous decade. Sunday\, Oct. 19\, 2025. 4PM.  The second in The Angel Nyack’s new series in partnership with ArtsRock and Brooklyn’s Voices in the Heights\, creating an intimate listening experience with original music.  Spencer LaJoye (luh-JOY) is a singer/songwriter from the Midwest making queer indie folk music for everyone. The 2021 Kerrville Songwriting Competition and 2024 Songwriter Serenade winner spins crystalline vocals through a loop pedal while strumming an acoustic guitar in charming\, banter-heavy performances that keep audiences laughing one moment and weeping the next.  Lula Pilar is a singer-songwriter born and raised in Nyack\, NY.
