New to the Rockland County dining scene, the Orangetown Classic Diner, is styled like a classic ‘50’s diner, but there’s nothing classic about their innovative creations! One of four diners under the Classic Restaurant Group, the idea behind Orangetown Classic Diner, and its sister restaurants is simple – offer customers fresh, comforting, sophisticated and delicious food.
A meal at Orangetown Classic Diner starts with creative appetizers. Their loaded nachos are a crowd pleaser that requires a small crowd for the entire plate to be eaten. For those who looking for a fusion twist on Asian classics, hamburger, Philly cheesesteak, and buffalo chicken have all been stuffed in egg rolls and served with unique dipping sauces. For diner purists, the starters menu includes diner classics like chicken noodle soup, French onion soup, and beef chili.
For the main course, Orangetown Classic Diner serves up all kinds of diner classics like oven roasted turkey with all the trimmings, meat loaf with gravy, chicken pot pie, and fried chicken served as a dinner or with half a Belgian waffle. If you prefer a more hands-on meal, try a specialty sandwich like a classic Reuben loaded with your choice of meat, a flavorful taco with just about any kind of filling, or a giant burger with any topping imaginable. But don’t forget about breakfast for dinner! The diner has a full breakfast menu available all day that includes the craziest, and most delicious, pancakes imaginable with flavors like red velvet and funfetti that come with full size pieces of cake as just one of their toppings.
No matter how delicious all of these options are, you MUST save room for dessert! Just the milkshake menu has 14 options including candy bar (stuffed with Reeses and Kit Kats) Cookie Monster and Elmo (topped with signature cookies of the characters’ faces), and baked good varieties(including cannoli, red velvet, funfetti, cookie dough, brownie, and cheesecake) all topped with a full size version of the dessert. You might have a hard time finding the actual milkshake under all those delicious toppings! If you’re more of a dessert traditionalist there is a wide range of non-milkshake dessert options like the six layer rainbow cake or parfait style servings of strawberry shortcake, German chocolate cake, and cannoli cake.
If this menu doesn’t give you enough to choose from, the Orangetown Classic Diner features all kinds of seasonal specials. It might be a good idea to plan for a full day at this creative diner because you’ll want to try it all!
