Golden Week Packages
One of the best times of the year to visit Rockland County is in early October, when the fall foliage on the trees turns colorful shades of red, yellow, and orange. This beautiful season fortunately coincides with the Chinese Golden Week of national holidays!
In order to welcome you to Rockland County during this time, the Rockland County Office of Tourism has created special “Golden Week” packages produced specifically for Chinese visitors. These itineraries take the work out of planning your trip, and include shopping, dining, and visits to American historic sites in upstate New York.
The packages are designed for individual travelers, or groups, with three themes: History Museum, Outdoor, and Family Fun. Come visit a new destination in the lower Hudson Valley, less than an hour’s drive from New York City!
Rockland County is known as home to the Stony Point Battlefield, Harriman State Park, Edward Hopper House Art Center, and the Palisades Center, one of the largest shopping malls in the U.S. The new Golden Week packages include these popular sites, as well as Torne Valley Vineyards, Village of Suffern Museum, and Tallman Mountain State Park.
Each package is offered as a single-day or overnight trip, and includes discounts on accommodations, dining, attraction fees, and more. The packages are offered October through December 2017.
